I’ve been thinking about the lives of objects. What we keep, what we return to, what holds memory.
I noticed I’m shifting away from the need to constantly produce something new and beginning to trust that creation is a ritual, one that asks to be met rather than forced. When it arrives naturally, it carries a different kind of truth.
Continuity over newness.
There is something in tending to what already exists, in noticing what might otherwise be overlooked. My work has started to shift toward honoring that. To holding what is already here, listening for its story, and letting it live on.
Lately, that feels just as meaningful as making something from nothing—if not more.
Vestige, in a way is becoming a living study, an unfolding archive of craft, material, and memory.
Each object, each encounter, becomes part of something I can return to. A record not only of what was made, but of how it was found and carried forward.
A place to remain in conversation with what once was, and what still is.
